This course aims to develop a principled understanding of probabilistic model building in the context of modern AI, equipping participants to reason under uncertainty, integrate prior knowledge, and construct interpretable, data-efficient models. It encourages a shift from purely data-driven approaches to more structured and hypothesis-aware modelling, supporting better decision-making and experimental design.

This practical workshop is designed for scientists interested in exploring career opportunities beyond academia and preparing for a transition to industry. Through a combination of short presentations, hands-on exercises and interactive discussions, participants will learn how to translate their academic experience into industry-relevant skills and strengthen their professional profile.
Participants will work on real-life examples, refine their CV for industry applications, improve their LinkedIn presence, and gain insights into recruitment processes commonly used in the private sector. The workshop focuses on practical tools and strategies to help researchers identify career paths aligned with their skills and interests.
